Hopefully you are all aware that on Friday the 11th of May we will be holding a very special Mothers Day afternoon tea for you in Room 2. Your children have been busy making a few special surprises for you and something yummy for you to eat while you have a cuppa and watch the premiere of ‘Happy Mothers Day 2012′ – a very very special mini movie.
That’s all I can tell you now without ruining the surprise except that in the heart below are some of the reasons why the kids of Room 2 LOVE their Mums so so much!
It’s been full steam ahead in room 2 this week!We have been making all sorts of things to get ready for Easter!We made and decoarated our own Easter baskets,made Easter cards and wrote a message inside for Easter Bunny,dyed hard boiled eggs,made Easter Bunnycupcakes,counted eggs,painted Easter Bunnyand LOADS more!

That’s right!Room 2 found a very old bottle hidden in the shed that had a key tied to it and aTREASURE MAP INSIDE!We followed the map which led us to one of the sandpits where we dug and dug and found an old wooden chestFULL OF GLORIOUS TREASURE!We had a marvellous time playing with the treasure and this was mostly captured by the skillful photographer of the day, Ronnie!He also took a few shots of other subjects to properly showcase his wonderful talent.
Today Tiana was our feature photographer.She was very keen and started as soon as she walked in the door this morning!Her photo’s were original and unique! Love the series of self portraits displaying different emotions! I must also point out the beautiful shot of the boys in the peppi tree.
Today Rhys took charge of the camera and snapped some very unusual shots. It is always fun to see our room from the point of view of our students and today was no exception.Great photography Rhys, I know you enjoyed yourself too!

You guessed it. Pirates have come to room 2! We now have our very own Pirate Cove complete with pirate Ship (with a plank), desert island (with a palm tree), treasure chest (with treasure) and SO MUCH MORE!
Check it out next time you visit, but beware, our ruthless pirates may make you walk the plank!
